The past week!

At the moment, I am sitting in my apartment, tired as all get out. I can't sleep at all for some reason. I haven't been able to since I got to the residence. I've been tossing and turning, and I'm lucky if I sleep 2 hours in a row. It is horrible. I think that is why I'm actually get a bit sick. My throat is sore and I feel like I have a mouse in my nasal passages. Yay. Anywho, Let me tell y'all about what has been going on since I last wrote!

Well, today marks a week after I moved in. My apartment looks homey and a little messy, but not to bad. In all honesty, that is how I like it. :) I've met all the other assistants, and they are all really great. Cony is from Venezuela, and she is my next door neighbor, then Alice from England, Chris from California, Lizzie from England, Jamilla (sp) from Trinidad, Anastasia from Australia, and Joselina (sp?) from Mexico. All the girls are extremely down to earth, and we've had a lot of fun getting to know each other, wine and tequilla involved! Chris is a big queen, so he's always there for a laugh and to say something completely ridiculous and uncalled for.

All of the Primary assistants met on tuesday to speak with our contact and to get information (or so we thought) because in fact the only thing we did do was pay her the money for the apt so she could write a check to the owner. She is sooo freaking unhelpful it is not even funny in the least. I am really getting frustrated. AHH.

ahem.

We proceeded to walk all around to get stuff for our rooms, and then get our bank accounts, and allthough there was a mountain of paperwork, and some things I might not have understood, it still wasn't as hard as I thought it would have been.

Skip two days, and I'm riding a bike to my school. And let me tell you, round-abouts do not help with my sense of direction!! I got lost going to and from the school... like very. But when I DID finally arrive, the teachers were so nice and trying to be helpful, but seeing as how they only knew I was coming 2 days before.... well they had none of the papers I needed from them... like how I'm going to get paid.... yikes.

Then this weekend, I went to Biarritz with Cony, Chris, Alice, and Lizzie, and it was so beautiful. Biarritz is this town on the ocean, and let me tell you it was just gorgeous! I, stupidly, didn't bring my camera (!!!!!!) but I may borrow some photos from the other girls.

Now it is Monday, obviously, and I really need to do laundry, but I have no detergent or money. I am very quickly spending way too much, and I still need to buy some important things for the room. YIKES. Oh well.

I know, kinda a boring post, but y'all get over it. :)
